10,000 SF | 9 Golf Simulator Bays | Completed June 2026
Blackhaus Construction Group served as general contractor for Raincheck Golf in Mentor, Ohio, transforming two commercial units into an indoor golf facility with nine simulator bays. Working with the owners from early space evaluation through construction, Blackhaus managed demolition, interior framing, building system modifications, and final finishes, while assisting with golf simulator installation.
Early Planning and Value Engineering
Before construction, Blackhaus worked with the owners to evaluate the originally proposed space. Accommodating the golf simulators there would have required extensive ceiling removal and raising overhead building systems, adding construction cost.
Through walkthroughs and value engineering, the team helped identify two alternative units with a better layout and higher ceilings across more than half of the combined space. This move reduced the extent of ceiling demolition and overhead modifications needed, lowering construction costs while providing a better fit for the facility’s nine simulator bays.
